*Sigh* So many things I would like to say about last night’s sad continuation of the mediocrity that is this season, but I don’t know if I can find the energy. Here’s tonight’s power rankings, with each contestant ranked from “whatever” to “who cares?”. Lee DeWyze – Lee came out on top tonight, but not by [...] Not hard to rank after tonight’s show. Lee DeWyze. Two excellent performances were mostly responsible for saving tonight’s show. Now that we are down to the top four and finally rid of Aaron Kelly, the last remaining contestant that had absolutely no business even being in this competition to begin with, I assumed that this season would finally heat up. Surely four obviously talented individuals would push the competition to new heights as they [...] Two good-but-not-great performances and two stinkers shuffle things up a little bit. Crystal Bowersox. An OK version of a Kenny Loggins mediocrity should not put you in first place. But one of two solid solo performances this evening will, if your competition is… Better late than never! Here’s my objective picks from watching the show, and previous weeks combined, as power rankings go. As a heads up, I’m still not over Crystal’s fake crying spot. Killed the whole season for me. As always, the number after the name signifies the previous week’s ranking. 1. Lee Dewyze (1) – Still number [...] This week is easy. Lee DeWyze. Why, oh why, did I not draft him in Fantasy Idol? My first pick was Siobhan and my second was Casey. Oops. Since Gordon, Jason, and I all post Power Rankings, I’ve decided to post this composite list after every elimination episode. Contestants are awarded points based on their rankings in each list and then re-ranked based on grand total of points from all three. The week’s eliminated contestant will not be included in Composite Power Rankings. After each [...] Wow, what a crazy week. I can’t believe it, but Siobhan has to be the one to go. So bad. Here’s my rankings. The number after each contestant’s name is their ranking from last week. 1. Lee Dewyze (2) – The impossible has happened. I have ranked Lee Dewyze number one. I can’t help it, he’s gotten [...] I think a lot of the people who have been bitching about this season may take it back as we hit the top five. It’s going to be a pretty intense run, and I have no clue who will win. My rankings are flipping and flopping a lot more than they did last year. Here’s this [...] It was inspirational songs week, and though I wasn’t really ever inspired, it was a really good week. Best in a while. Last week Katie got screwed, and we finally got rid of the disappointing Andrew. Everyone brought it this week, at least in effort, as the pressure is no doubt building.
